Two of my very dear friends got married the last weekend in September and I was fortunate enough to make it to both weddings despite one being in Pittsburgh on Friday and the other in DC on Saturday! It was so nice to take a few days and go to Pittsburgh to spend time with my family and friends there. It being only a few weeks since my 1 year anniversary, I decided to take some photos of my wedding dress (I totally took it out and wore it around) and my wedding bouquet, which my mom dried out along with some of the flowers from the centerpieces. While in town, I spent a morning at Hartwood Acres, capturing the beauty of the historical mansion- where a crew was working to set up for an outdoor wedding ceremony! My weekend was just chalk full of weddings :D
One of my favorite things about weddings is that they are an amazing representation of the couple's style and an insight into their relationship. I love all the details that get put into weddings. Going to two weddings back to back made me appreciate this dynamic even more.
Here are some photos from my trip to Pittsburgh and Jennie's wedding.
The next series of photos is from wedding number 2, Pamela and Aaron, in DC- the ceremony was at St. Matthews in Dupont and the reception was at The Capitol Hill Club. We had some time between the ceremony and reception, so we stopped into the Library of Congress to try to find some national treasure style secret books!
