This past weekend, Forrest and I ventured to Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia. It was a spontaneous trip, which are my favorite kind of trips! We quickly packed our car full of camping supplies and set off to our friends' place for a bonfire. Nestled in the hills, our friends have a New England style cabin, an airplane hangar, and a grass airstrip. It was so nice to be with friends taking in the scenic naturescape, scents of the bonfire and sounds of laughter. Camping under the night sky is a great way to spend a summer evening :)
After a night of star gazing, we had some breakfast in Morgantown. Afterwards, we decided we'd dive up to Pittsburgh and drop in on my family. Since we were coming from WV, we drove through the Fort Pitt Tunnels, which is one of my favorite views of the city. It's nick named Pittsburgh's front door for good reason. Seeing the fam was terrific as always!
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend as well!
